Volunteer

Why Volunteer?

The roles of our volunteers are crucial to the success of our church. Most attendees decide within the first 10 minutes if they will return to a church. Olivet volunteers help create the welcoming environment we want visitors and members to experience.

Volunteering is also a great way to meet new people and build relationships with your church community.

Tip for parents: Volunteering in worship is a great way to get your children involved in church and excited about worship.

How to volunteer

Ready to get started? If you know what dates you are available, sign up today!

If you need to check your calendar, fill out the volunteer contact form and Kelly Heyer will contact you for a future date.

If you have any questions about how to get involved at Olivet, contact Kelly Heyer at kheyer@olivet.org.

Greeter

It’s as simple as it sounds. Prior to every worship service, we strive to have 4-10 greeters placed throughout the entrance areas to the church to greet and welcome people to Olivet.

Usher

It’s not as intimidating as you may think! Ushers pass out bulletins at the sanctuary doors, dismiss pews for communion, and pass the offering plates. All ages are welcome!

Reader

From early readers to those who have been reading for a lifetime, anyone can fulfill the role of a reader. Readers typically read two lessons and a Psalm. Lessons are provided several days prior to worship.

Coffee/Donut Server

Are you a social butterfly? Or someone who likes to serve others? This is the perfect role for you. The coffee servers monitor the coffee and donut supply from 9:30-10:30 on Sundays.
